The Joy That Is My English Teacher...

joy? you think... why would an english teacher cause you joy???

well... ;)
the year 7s

The Cunningham does not seem to get along with you younger years (year 7)
well you see there is this girl called Laura and her skirt is more like a belt than a skirt and to be honest that is disgusting full stop. let alone when your are in YEAR 7!!!! ugh she knocks me sick!!
well anyway, half way through our double english lesson (yeah fun :|) The Cunningham goes to "guard" the corridoor :L and this one girl was going the wrong way up the corridoor and The Cunningham goes full mental at her, she makes her come into our class and sort her uniform out and then she tries to walk off and oh no miss does not like that! and goes something like this "you need to sort your attitude i think! and that uniform was discraceful! and why do you thing you can go the wrong way? " this year 7 girl thinks she is everything but suddenly her face just drops and she looks terrified :') she shrugs and miss continues "do you thing your special?"..."you're not special! now get out of my class room and go to your lesson!!" the girl walks off looking so scared and our whole class burst into laughter :')

that is not the only incident with year 7s though :L oh no today The Cunningham was trying to go through our Romeo and Juliet essays with us and there is a group of year 7s outside going through a play, they were rather loud and we could see the displeasure on miss' face so she waits for the perfect moment to go out to them... one says "no no we're all going to die!!" and suddenly The Cunningham opens the door and says " yes you are all going to die is you dont be quiet i have a year 11 class in here!!" all of a sudden outside there is silence :L poor year 7s :)

The Romeo and Juliet insident

well there is a scene in R&J that goes a little like this:

R: If I profane with my unworthiest hand
This holy shrine, the gentle sin is this:
My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand
To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss.

J: Good pilgrim, you do wrong your hand too much,
   Which mannerly devotion shows in this;
For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,
And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.

R: Have not saints lips, and holy palmers too?

J:  Ay, pilgrim, lips that they must use in prayer.

R: O then, dear saint, let lips do what hands do!
They pray. Grant thou, lest faith turn to despair.

J: Saints do not move, though grant for prayer's sake.

R: Then move not, while my prayer's effect I take.
Thus from my lips, by thine, my sin is purged.

*Romeo kisses Juliet*

J: Then have my lips the sin that they have took.

R: Sin from my lips? O trespass sweetly urged!
    Givw me my sin again.

*Romoe kisses her again*

J: You kiss by the book.

at which point The Cunningham says   "this is the part of the play where Romeo is trying to "woo" Juliet, with his smooth talk but boys i dont think this would work these days, i think the best get a kiss these days is to just grap a girl and kiss her"
our class "....."
"wait no i take it back dont just go and grab a girl and kiss her!!"

English makes my life!!!!!!

Don't judge a book by its cover!

Gecky xx
